Welcome to Brighton Primary School
Brighton Primary
School is a large school incorporating a centre for
hearing-impaired.
The school's values of care, respect,
achieving our best, being responsible learners
and being
environmentally-aware citizens reflect a strong focus on student
learning and wellbeing. Students engage in a broad curriculum with
access to a wide range of
extra-curricular activities such as
choir, 'Pedal Prix', music and sport.
The strong focus on learning engages students and individual goal-setting
aimed at developing their skills as responsible and independent learners with
high expectations
for all. The school led the way in e-learning, being one
of the first schools to have interactive whiteboards in every classroom. This
has improved student engagement and participation. Positive relationships exist
between the whole school community and the school has implemented a number of
programs to ensure student wellbeing and learner success.
Restorative practices form the basis of the behaviour management processes and 'student power' groups focus on building 'community'. The positive involvement of parents and caregivers enhances all aspects of school life.
