We come to school to learn

We are pleased to introduce our new Behaviour Education Policy, developed in collaboration with our staff and Governing Council in 2024. This policy reflects our commitment to maintaining a positive school culture and learning environment for all staff, students and families. It aligns with our school motto ‘where all children thrive’. To key phrases we have been unpacking with students are “we come to school to learn” and “we treat others the way we would like to be treated”. Our Behaviour Education approach is grounded in our school values: respect, empathy, inclusivity and excellence. These values guide us in fostering an environment where positive behaviours are not only encouraged but explicitly taught and reinforced, much like other essential skills. We also recognise that behaviours of concern are often a form of communication. Our approach involves collaboration among students, staff, and families to identify and develop the necessary skills to address these challenges. The full policy is on the website, we encourage you to have a read.
