Weekly Wrap Up

Dear Families, one of the highlights this week was our Signing Choir auditioning for the Festival of Music, a wonderful opportunity to showcase their hard work and talents. We also celebrated learning at the Wara Learning Hub assembly, the student learning hub leaders spoke confidently and proudly shared their learning.

At Brighton, we know that learning never stops, not just for our students, but for our staff too. Today our staff engaged in professional learning around the South Australian Curriculum and Aboriginal Culture. We explored ways to support our students in developing important learner dispositions, like resilience and curiosity. We know that building strong learner dispositions is key to helping our students thrive in all areas of their learning journey.

Uncle Tamaru is passionate about sharing his culture and language with others. Today our staff had the pleasure of learning alongside him. We were inspired by his stories, his depth of knowledge and love of his language. Staff are motivated to bring their learning into the classroom. Did you know that the roads around Victoria Square are in the shape of the Kaurna shield?

Enjoy the long weekend.

Warm Regards, Rebecca
