National Science Week runs from Saturday 15th August to Sunday 23rd August. It features over 2,000 events nation wide, ranging from community festival’s to school workshops.

In Adelaide, the festivities typically kick off with a launch event at the South Australian Museum on North Terrace.

The 2026 school theme is “Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all”.
