This week our Spence 4 Year 6 students were lucky enough to work with 12 students from Brighton Secondary School, ranging from Years 8–12. The high school students listened to our adventure narrative drafts and provided thoughtful feedback about story structure, character development, tension, descriptive language and endings. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to share their writing with a real audience, ask questions, and receive advice from older students who have been through similar writing experiences. We are very grateful to the Brighton Secondary students for their encouragement, time and support.
