The northern end of Tarni Wara has been transformed with a vibrant new Aboriginal mural by contemporary Aboriginal artist Scott Rathman, created in collaboration with our Student Hub Leaders and Student Council.

The mural is a celebration of the friendships that make Brighton such a welcoming community. It reflects the strong connections our students build with one another and the unique privilege of learning and growing in our beautiful seaside environment.

The artwork also honors the significance of the building’s name, Tarni Warra, which means “the voice of the ocean” in the Kaurna language.

This collaborative project highlights the value of student voice, creativity and cultural understanding, leaving a lasting legacy that will inspire our community for years to come.
