What an amazing end of Term 3!

During the National Week of Deaf People, Brighton Primary School and the Centre of Deaf Education proudly celebrated the Deaf community, Deaf culture and the importance of inclusion through a range of special activities across the school.

Students had a fantastic experience competing in the Pedal Prix at Murray Bridge, demonstrating impressive teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event.

We are especially thrilled to celebrate our girls’ team, who won the Girls Team Trophy — a wonderful achievement. A huge thank you goes to all the staff and families who supported our teams and helped make the day such a success.

The senior choir students were excited to take part in the Festival of Music performance, proudly showcasing their beautiful singing and the results of their hard work and dedication.

A special congratulations goes to Emmie and Paige, who both performed as soloists and did an amazing job. We are incredibly proud of all our students for their confidence, enthusiasm and commitment in making the performance such a memorable occasion.

Brighton Primary School and the Centre of Deaf Education’s biannual Children’s Art Show is a wonderful celebration of student creativity, imagination and self-expression.

Held every two years, the exhibition showcases a diverse range of student artwork, highlighting unique talents and the vibrant learning culture across both settings.

We were delighted to celebrate the launch of the Year 4 cookbook, Little Hands in the Big Kitchen, on Tuesday afternoon. This special project was created through students’ Learning Expedition over the past few terms. Inspired by visits to Lenswood Apple Farm and the Adelaide Central Markets, conversations with dietitians, and hands-on cooking sessions at school, the cookbook beautifully showcases students’ learning, creativity and enthusiasm for food. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful project to life.

A huge shout out to the Parents and Friends committee and the Year 6 team, who held a bake sale and sausage sizzle at the Art Show and Book Launch on Tuesday afternoon.

We sincerely appreciate their support of our school community while helping celebrate our students’ wonderful artwork and cookbook.

On Thursday, the students in Spence 7 proudly shared their landmark brochures with the school community. It was wonderful to see their hard work, curiosity and learning on display.

Our Colour Fun Run was made even more special by the beautiful weather, creating the perfect setting for a fun, vibrant and joy-filled event. Students and staff embraced the excitement of the day, with plenty of colour, laughter and energy from start to finish. It was a wonderful way to come together as a school community and a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the term.
