Assistant Principal for the Day

The best thing about being an Assistant Principal started on Tuesday when I realized everything was under control and there was nothing to worry about. Early Wednesday morning was also my favourite thing because I saw the vibrant pink vest and badge that were especially for us and said “Assistant Principal for the day” on them, which made me feel very important in a way. Going to Buzzy Bees was so nice, seeing all the little kids just made my day, they were all so nice and it was really fun making activities for them at lunch and recess.
It was fun, having that power felt good because I haven’t had that before. I haven’t had that responsibility in my hands before. Meeting little kids is something I love doing. What I liked is that we weren’t being watched over all the time, we sort of had some kind of freedom, like when we went to Buzzy Bees we set up all the equipment by ourselves and no one saying do this or do that which was nice. It was challenging walking around all the time but once I got used to it, it wasn’t too bad.
Being the Assistant Principal for a day was a very cool experience, there were some good and some bad moments, I still enjoyed it a lot. At the start I thought it was going to be boring and all we would do is sit around all day but it was actually the opposite, I felt like a Principal going to the classes and doing the forums and taking notes. This was such a great experience to do and I recommend it to everyone.
