Autism Inclusion Teachers
We would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves to the Brighton community in our roles as Autism Inclusion Teachers.
Our role is to support autistic students across the school by working collaboratively with classroom teachers, support staff, students, and families. We focus on creating inclusive learning environments that recognise students’ strengths, support their individual needs, and promote a strong sense of belonging.
For 2026:
- Michaley Batty will be supporting students in Foundation to Year 2
- Andy Sommers will be working with students in Years 3–6
We work closely with classroom teachers to support inclusive classroom practices, provide guidance around adjustments and strategies, and help students feel safe, understood, and supported at school. We also value strong partnerships with families and welcome open communication.
If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to share information that may help support your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact us via the Front Office.
