Cybersafety SAPOL visit

On Thursday, the year five students at BPS had the pleasure of inviting Matt to our school to talk about safety on the internet. Matt is a police officer who works for SAPOL, he taught us all about how to keep ourselves and our friends and family safe online.

Matt taught us about the acronym AWARE.
Accounts– make sure what you post doesn’t give away personal information.
Who– Make sure your account is private [Friends and Family.]
Appropriate– Ensure what you’re posting is appropriate.
Respectful– Make sure what you post will not hurt anyone’s feelings or embarrass anyone.
Environment– Confirm that the environment in any photos you post does not give away valuable information, AKA: where you live, where you go to school.

We all learnt so much from Matt and are incredibly grateful for everything that the South Australian Police does for us.
