Introducing our Intervention and Inclusion Teachers

We are committed to ensuring every child gets the right support at the right time. Our Intervention and Inclusion Teachers play a key role in making this happen through our tiers of intervention approach. This year we have two highly skilled full time Intervention and Inclusion Teachers, Allyson and Kate.

What are the tiers of intervention?
All students receive high quality teaching in the classroom (Tier 1). Some students may need a little extra support for a period of time, this is provided through targeted small group intervention (Tier 2) which may be provided by the classroom teacher or by Allyson or Kate. A small number of students may require more intensive, individualised support (Tier 3). Movement between tiers is flexible and based on student progress and need.

Intervention and Inclusion Teachers work alongside classroom teachers to provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. These targeted interventions are designed to help students build confidence, close learning gaps, and make meaningful progress. Support may take place in small groups or one to one, and is carefully planned using assessment data and ongoing monitoring. Parents are notified if their child would benefit from learning with Allyson or Kate.

Together with classroom teachers and families, our Intervention and Inclusion Teachers help ensure all students are supported to thrive. If you would like to discuss your child’s learning or wellbeing, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
