Gibson 3 are excited to have a class pet turtle named Leonardo. Student Hub Leader Jasper is keen to share some interesting information about Leonardo and turtles with the community.

• Leonardo is 20 years old. Some turtles live to 50 years old.
• Leonardo is a long neck turtle and he is green and brown.
• Leonardo likes grapes and he can stomp worms out of the ground.
• Turtles breathe out of their bottom.
• Turtles have excellent vision and can see colour.

Alongside the excitement, students are developing a strong sense of responsibility as they help care for their new class pet.

We look forward to seeing how having a class pet can deepen students’ curiosity about living things and strengthens their understanding of care, respect, and responsibility.
