This term is a busy one for our library and students.  During Week 6 we will be celebrating Book Week and Writer’s Week.    This year’s theme is ‘Reading is Magic’

So it is time to start working on your costumes.  Choose a book character, use your imagination and work your magic….  If you need some inspiration come into the library where there are hundreds, if not thousands, of characters just waiting for their moment of glory!

Students are busy putting the finishing touches to their Writer’s Week entries which close in Week 4.

During Week 6 we will be celebrating Book Week and Writer’s Week. An assembly will be held on Tuesday 27th  August at 9:15am, when winners will be announced at the Writer’s Week Award presentation followed by the Book Week Costume Grand Parade.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge finishes on Friday September 6th (Week 7). Many students have already completed the challenge, so let’s encourage others to keep reading towards their goal of 12 books.  Completed Student Record forms can be handed into class teachers or the Library.   This year’s awards will be handed out in early November.
