Opening the Doors to Reading: Library access for everyone

Our school library continues to be a vibrant hub of learning, curiosity and connection, with many opportunities for students to access and enjoy the space throughout the week.

Students can visit the library before school and after school, providing a calm and welcoming environment to read, explore new books, or simply enjoy some quiet time. We also offer a browse and borrow session after lunch, giving students another chance to exchange books and discover new stories that spark their interests. Students also have the opportunity to enjoy time in the library at lunchtime.

In addition, students attend the library regularly with their class, where they are introduced to a wide range of texts and authors.

Providing multiple opportunities for students to access the library helps us nurture a love of reading, build literacy skills and encourage students to see reading as both enjoyable and meaningful. We love seeing students excited about books and look forward to continuing to grow a strong reading culture across our school community.
