Preschool Community Visit
We were thrilled to welcome nearly 70 preschool children for their excursion to Brighton this week! Children from Warradale and Dover Kindergartens arrived on the bus while those from Goodstart and Emali Early Learning Centres walked the short distance down Brighton road to join us.
Some of our Year 5 students guided small groups of children through a rotation of activities which gave their strong leadership skills an opportunity to shine. The preschool children loved visiting the library, seeing the fish, blowing bubbles, playing with playdough in LA3 and also with BeeBots in Tarni Warra.
After sharing a fruit platter for morning tea, our Warradale and Dover visitors enjoyed meeting Marek and participating in a PE session in the gym with lots of different equipment.
We listened carefully for the bell at the end of recess, and joined the Foundation classrooms to learn about making patterns. What a thrill it was for some of our newest Foundation students to feel so grown up and show their younger peers what school is all about!
We look forward to seeing many of our new friends next week in the first Buzzy Bees session for this term.
