Seeking Stories of Resilience and Community Spirit

From the learning team that brought you our Monarto Safari Park advocacy campaign, an exciting new Learning Expedition is underway in Year 6.

This term, our students will be exploring the powerful themes of resilience, perseverance, and community spirit by connecting with people in our local and wider community who have lived these values.

We are seeking individuals who would be willing to share their story with a small group of students. This may include people who have:

  • Overcome significant challenges or adversity
  • Demonstrated resilience in the face of difficulty
  • Made a meaningful contribution to the community
  • Excelled in a unique or lesser-known field

Our goal is to give students authentic, real-world insights that inspire empathy, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of what it means to make a difference.

If you know someone who may be interested in sharing their story, whether through a short visit, conversation, or even a recorded interview, we would love to hear from you.

Please contact Ann-Mari Turner or Alexander Tunny via the school or pass on our details to anyone who may be interested.

Thank you for helping us bring this learning expedition to life through the power of community.
