The first Wara Hub Assembly (Foundation/Year 1) on Wednesday was a real treat for all who attended. It was heart warming to witness our newest Foundation children speaking and performing to a crowd whilst our ‘big’ Year 1 Hub Student Leaders hosted their first assembly with pride and excellence. We appreciated the strong community support with encouraging smiles and no spare seats – thanks to all the families who attended! There was a strong theme of music and creativity in the performances, with students sharing songs for different purposes. All of the Foundation children performed a song they had made up to inform people about growth mindsets, and another class taught us an action song requiring them to cross their midline and give their brain break. The finale involved all Foundation and Year 1 students signing and signing the Rainbow song to show their Auslan skills.
