Dear Families,

What a fantastic way to end the week! On Friday morning, Brighton was buzzing with excitement as Nova 919’s Jodie and Hayesy broadcast their breakfast show live from our school. The energy was high and the smiles were wide as students, staff and families joined in the fun. Thank you to Nova and the Credit Union for the $500 donation which will go towards the Reconciliation Garden.

The morning was made even more memorable with special visits from the Adelaide Crows’ vice captain Alex Neal Bullen, and the Thunderbirds Hannah Petty, autographs were a big hit! Everyone enjoyed a delicious egg and bacon sandwich, and the coffee was a welcome treat for the adults.

The photobooth was a favourite with students, capturing plenty of happy snaps. It was a morning full of community spirit, joy, and connection — the perfect start to a Friday and a great way to celebrate the end of the week 9. Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in the fun. A big shout to Jane for coordinating the event and being at school at 4:00am to support the Nova team with the set up.

Our teachers have now completed mid year reports, which will be released to parents and carers this Friday via email and the EMS Community Portal. If you have any questions after reading your child’s report, please contact your child’s class teacher or specialist teacher early in Term 3 to arrange a conversation.

Our Year 6 students will be running their Enterprise Stalls Wednesday week 10 from 3:10pm to 4:10pm. There will be a variety of items for sale. Come along and support their entrepreneurial spirit.

To celebrate the end of term, our Student Council has organised a special dress up day Friday, week 10. The theme is “What I Want to Be When I Grow Up”, and students are encouraged to come dressed to reflect their future aspirations. A gold coin donation is required to participate, with all funds going towards the Year 6 Student Council’s Positive Impact project, the creation of our Reconciliation Garden. We can’t wait to see everyone’s outfits.
