Weekly Wrap Up

Dear families, we’ve had a wonderful start to Term 4, with students settling quickly back into routines and engaging enthusiastically in their learning. This term is always full of exciting opportunities and special events that bring our community together.

In the coming weeks, we look forward to Sports Day, our Arts Assembly, and the Remembrance Day Assembly. As the year draws to a close, we’ll also celebrate with our End of Year Celebration and Year 6 Graduation, a fitting way to recognise our students’ growth and achievements throughout 2025. It’s set to be a busy and rewarding term of learning, connection, and celebration!

This year some of year 6 students have been involved in the Department for Education (DfE) state wide project, called Learning Expeditions. As a department project we have support to trial a learning framework that engages students in fieldwork, connections with experts and deep connected learning. This has resulted in this group of students developing an advocacy campaign to recycle devices to save champagnes habitats.

Today this learning was celebrated at a DfE launch at the Adelaide Zoo. Three student representatives and their teachers, Ann-Mari and AJ proudly shared their outstanding learning. The caliber of this work was acknowledged by DfE resulting in their inclusion in a video that will be released statewide.

Enjoy the weekend.

Warm Regards, Rebecca
