Weekly Wrap Up

Dear Families, our Buzzy Bees transition program is going well, and it’s been fantastic to welcome our newest learners as they begin their Brighton journey. The enthusiasm and joy they bring each week is lovely to see. This week they played in their new classroom with their 2026 classroom teacher and friends.

Our newly updated library is looking open, welcoming, and full of life! With a fresh layout and more front facing books, students will be drawn to browse, discover, and dive into new reading adventures.

We’ve also genrified our non fiction collection, grouping books by topic and interest area, just like in a bookshop. This makes it easier for students to find what they love, explore new subjects, and make meaningful connections between books. Genrification helps foster independence and curiosity, empowering students to become confident, lifelong readers and researchers. The students can’t wait for the library to reopen.

As we head into the final four weeks of Term 4, there’s plenty to look forward to including excursions, aquatics, swimming, and beach safety programs offering rich learning experiences beyond the classroom.

And don’t forget to save the date, Tuesday 9 December for our End of Year Celebration! All classes will be performing, and it promises to be a wonderful afternoon of community, creativity, and celebration.

Enjoy the weekend.

Warm Regards Rebecca
