Weekly Wrap Up
Dear Families, as week 2 comes to a close, there has been plenty to celebrate across our school community.
A highlight of the week was our Netball Carnival, with both teams representing Brighton with great teamwork, sportsmanship and determination. The boys’ team had an outstanding day, winning all of their games, while the girls’ team also performed brilliantly, winning 3 out of 5 games. We are incredibly proud of the way all students supported one another and represented our school.
Our Year 4 students also enjoyed a fantastic one night camp at AFL Max. The camp was filled with fun, teamwork, challenge and adventure, with students building confidence, independence and stronger connections with their peers. Camp experiences provide children with valuable opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, develop resilience and create lasting memories. This camp also marks the conclusion of our 2026 camp program. We thank all staff and parents who supported these important learning experiences this year. Planning for our camp program in 2027 is underway!
To finish the week, we welcomed families to our Muffins for Mum event. It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout and such a warm, positive atmosphere across the morning. Mums and special family members were entertained by our Senior Choir singing “Lucky Stars” and our Foundation students singing “We Are Family”, which brought plenty of smiles to the crowd. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the important people in our students’ lives and to the P@F team for organising the celebration. Our Mother’s Day stall was very well supported, with 600 gifts purchased.
We hope all our mums and families enjoy a wonderful weekend together.
Warm Regards, Rebecca
