Weekly Wrap Up
Dear Families, Student Learning Forums are always one of the highlights of the week for our leaders. Throughout the term, we hold 25 forums, meeting with six students from every class across the school. These conversations provide a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from our learners about their experiences at school.
It is always inspiring to hear about the depth and breadth of learning taking place in our classrooms. Students confidently share what they are learning, how they learn best, what they are proud of, and the areas they are working to improve. It is particularly impressive to see even our youngest learners speaking so thoughtfully and confidently about their learning journey.
Our discussions also highlight the positive impact of our intentional teaching of our school values and our agreed learner dispositions. Students regularly refer to these as they explain how they approach challenges, work with others, and persevere when learning becomes difficult.
One theme that consistently shines through across every year level is the strong growth mindset our students have developed. They understand that mistakes are a valuable part of learning and see them as opportunities to grow rather than something to fear.
The Student Learning Forums continue to remind us just how capable, reflective, and curious our learners are. We are incredibly proud of the confidence they demonstrate and the enthusiasm they bring to their learning every day.
As we head into the final week of Term 2, we have plenty to look forward to. On Monday, our Year 6 students will showcase their creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills at the Creative Commerce Convention, and later in the week our Year 2 students will take to the stage for their much anticipated musical performance at The Hopgood Theatre. We wish all of our students the very best as they share their talents and learning with our school community and look forward to celebrating these wonderful end of term events together.
Enjoy the weekend.
Warm Regards, Rebecca
