Volunteer with Brighton Primary School and Centre of Deaf Education
We value the participation and involvement of parents, caregivers and members of the extended family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc). If you are intending to help in the classroom, on an excursion/camp, in the canteen, coaching a sporting team, assisting during swimming, The Department for Education require you to register as a volunteer which includes having a current ‘Working with Children Check’ and a current RRHAN-EC Certificate and completing our Volunteer Application which is now available here.
Many of our current registered volunteers will need to update their RRHAN-EC as this expired in December 2024. Those that only need to update this can log into Plink here
If you are new to volunteering at Brighton you will need to complete and provide the following:
- A volunteer application and agreement form which can be found here or from the front office.
2. A Department of Human Services Working with Children Check (WWCC).
3. Completion of the following on line training modules:
- Volunteers: RRHAN-EC Fundamentals – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training
- Volunteer General Induction
Completed certificates and clearances and scanned application and agreements can be delivered to the Front office or emailed to [email protected]
4. On site induction sessions will be offered as part of the volunteer process. Dates will be communicated via the school’s term planner and website.
Find out more about relevant history screening and keeping yourself and our children safe at education.sa.gov.au/volunteers. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to ensure their volunteer status is kept current.
Thank you for supporting our school community.
